Definitions​

Service refers specifically to the hot air balloon flight detailed in this documentation, and more generally to the range of products offered by Serenity Hot Air Balloons, including accommodation, photographs, and customised activities arranged by agreement.

Service Operator refers to Serenity Hot Air Balloons or any independent contractor engaged by Serenity Hot Air Balloons to provide services to you.

Booking a flight​

• Weekend dates often book out well in advance.

• We operate five days a week, Thursday to Monday (closed Tuesday and Wednesday).

• Flights on public holidays can only be booked using the Any-Day Package.

• Midweek specials cannot be used on public holidays.

Liability​

• Serenity Hot Air Balloons accepts no responsibility for direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. This includes, but is not limited to, lost or damaged property, lost profits, savings, or disappointment.

• Serenity Hot Air Balloons may subcontract another ballooning company to operate your flight under a “code-sharing” arrangement. In these cases, Serenity Hot Air Balloons is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage connected with those services.

• We reserve the right to alter the contents of products and locations when deemed necessary but will always provide services of equal nature and value.

Alteration and cancellation of a booking​

If you need to cancel or alter your booking, the following applies (please note: rescheduling is treated as a cancellation of your confirmed date):

• Within 48 hours prior to a flight:

  • Only participant name changes of similar weight are permitted (must be advised at least 24 hours in advance).

  • No refunds or rescheduling for cancellations, illness, or no-shows. Please arrange your own insurance for unforeseen circumstances.

• Between 48 hours and 7 days prior:

  • Rescheduling incurs a $50 per person rebooking fee.

  • Weekday flights can only be rescheduled for another weekday (excludes public holidays).

  • Cancellations within this timeframe are not refundable.

• Accommodation and wine tour packages: Non-refundable. If your flight is cancelled due to weather, this does not apply to third-party package partners. Failure to attend accommodation or tours results in forfeiture.

• General:

  • Cancellation fees are non-refundable.

  • Failure to show results in forfeiture of the full flight cost.

  • You may transfer your booking to another person (name must be provided in advance).

  • Gift certificate bookings cannot be refunded (see Section 5).

  • Separate conditions apply to group bookings and customised events (outlined in your documentation).

  • Serenity Hot Air Balloons reserves the right to amend fees and notice periods.

Gift Certificates​

• Valid only once fully paid by the purchaser or distributor.

• Not redeemable for cash, and not refundable in part or full.

• Transferable to other individuals within the validity period (36 months).

• Once redeemed (flight date booked), all standard alteration and cancellation terms apply.

• Extensions:

  • $50 for 6 months

  • $100 for 12 months

• Extension period is calculated from the original expiry date. Reinstatement fees are non-refundable.

Discounted bookings​

• Discounts apply only to the full recommended retail price and cannot be combined with other specials.

• Coupons must be presented at booking. Refunds are not given if presented later.

• Discounted bookings are non-refundable but transferable.

• Standard alteration and cancellation terms apply.

• Extensions:

  • $50 for 6 months

  • $100 for 12 months

Weather, mechanical, staffing, safety & other conditions​

• Balloon flights rely on suitable weather and operational conditions.

• Flights may be cancelled or rescheduled due to unsuitable weather, mechanical issues, staffing shortages, or insufficient passenger numbers.

• In these cases, your payment will be held in credit, and an alternative date will be offered.

• Serenity Hot Air Balloons accepts no responsibility for travel, accommodation, inconvenience, or other costs incurred as a result of cancellation or rescheduling.

Photo sharing competition​

1. Promoter

This competition is run by SERENITY HOT AIR BALLOON PTY LTD, ABN 62 680 214 117.

2. Eligibility
The competition is open to Australian residents only. Entrants must hold a valid Facebook account and be able to receive direct messages. Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the Promoter are not eligible to enter.

3. How to enter
To enter, participants must:

• Like the Serenity Hot Air Balloons Facebook or Instagram page

• Like the competition post

• Tag at least one person in the comments

Each unique tag counts as one entry. There is no limit to the number of entries per person.

4. Entry period

The competition opens on 11 January 2026 and closes at 11.59 pm AEDT on Sunday 18 January 2026.

5. Prize

One winner will receive two hot air balloon flight tickets to be used in either the Yarra Valley or Rutherglen.

The prize

• Is valid for three years from the date of issue

• Is subject to availability

• Is weather dependent

• Is not redeemable for cash

• Is not transferable or exchangeable

Flights must be booked directly with Serenity Hot Air Balloons and are subject to standard booking terms.

6. Winner selection and notification

The winner will be randomly drawn on Monday 19 January 2026 and announced on Serenity Hot Air Balloons social media pages.

The winner will be contacted via direct message. If the winner does not respond within seven days, Serenity Hot Air Balloons reserves the right to redraw the prize.

7. Booking conditions

Flights operate at sunrise and require an early start. All passengers must meet minimum age, height and health requirements. Weather conditions may result in rescheduling for safety reasons.

8. Privacy

By entering, participants consent to their name being announced on Serenity Hot Air Balloons social media platforms. Personal information will not be shared with third parties.

9. Platform disclaimer

This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta, Facebook or Instagram.

10. Facebook disclaimer
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta or Facebook. By entering, participants release Meta from any liability relating to the competition.

11. General

Serenity Hot Air Balloons reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.

12. Acceptance of terms
Participation in this competition indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
